Easter Weekend & Cottage Visit.....

We decided to have our family Easter Dinner on Good Friday...

That way...the weekend is free for other activities...and visiting others...

I got a few appetizers together, and everyone brought something to add...

My daughter Erika, had given me 5 HUGE bunches of different coloured Tulips!

I had them everywhere...they sure can cheer up a room!!

Miss V had made the Bunnies for Papa and I...and one for her Mom and her Aunts ♥️...

My daughter Lissa brought me a gorgeous potted Hydrangea...

Apparently the blooms change colour! Can't wait to see that!!

Miss V added a few Easter Eggs to my front door display of fresh flowers...

It took me forever to get the Christmas one out!! Frozen solid!!

We want warmer temps!!!

Auntie Lissa brought Miss V a basket of goodies...these cute Bunny Glasses were included!!

Later in the evening...Miss V grabbed me, and we went out to capture the Full Moon...she took pics of it on her Ipad...a girl after her old Nana's heart ♥️

Little Miss N is growing quickly!!

My son took these photos...

Above she is modelling the hat and sweater I made her...

And this is her all dressed up to see her other Nana!!

She is very shy...

I did not get any good pics of her at all...:o(

But...she sure is a delicate little doll!!

We visited the cottage last Saturday...

Still pretty nipply, but all the ice and snow has gone...

Boyfriend got the water on!!!

YIPPEEEE!!!

Now...if Mother Nature co-operates, we will be sleeping over in no time!

Tulips and Daffodils bursting thru the leaves...

More raking......

Chickadees are back...

Made a delicious beef stew with the leftover roast beef...

                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you are all well....and had an enjoyable Easter weekend with your loved ones...
Time seems to be slipping by so quickly these days...SLOW DOWN!!!
I have had my hair cut this am, and plan to sew up a few outdoor cushions this afternoon...
Rain headed our way...LOTS of rain...And WIND...geesh...and maybe some
snow on Friday.....
I need some warmth...who's with me?????
      Enjoy your day...
            See you soon...
                 Cheers!  :o)
  8. Oh, I love it all, the cute bunnies by you and Miss V, the tulips, the pretty eggs and baskets. How fun to have Miss V helping with the Easter decor. Our Little Aussie has been in Sri Lanka on hols, but I am looking forward to having him a couple of days next week. Miss N is the most adorable little delicate doll, what a sweetie. The cold is hanging on over there; we did Facetime with our little Canadians and they are still wrapped up warm!
  10. Oh Linda, what a absolutely breathtaking Easter at the cottage with those beyond beautiful photos. You handiwork showing and glowing everywhere. Delicious looking food, adorable children and a spot that must be close to heaven with it's beauty.
    Unfortunately we had a sick Easter. First time in over 40 years we've missed a Good Friday or Easter Service. My dearest was sick with an infection in one lung..cough, cough, cough...but with some good meds he on his way to full recovery. We learn to take the good with the bad. So we enjoyed being together all Easter Weekend. Patient and nurse..haha.
  11. Your pictures of the gorgeous tulips and hydrangeas truly make me wish for spring. I know this goes against the grain, but since I'm not up to par, I'm sort of relishing a cloudy, cold day, as I know everyone else is inside, too. If it were sunny, I'd be so envious that I'm too tired to enjoy it!!
    Your Easter sounds like it went wonderfully, I like the idea of having dinner on Good Friday. I was happy that my girls helped out with our dinner. It's such a long day with the prep, appetizers (yours looked wonderful), dinner, dishes, dessert, and then everyone likes their beverages and a lot of catching up with extended family. We had a houseful.
    Seeing pics of your cottage makes me long for mine. I keep staring at my planner trying to figure out when I'll have a good stretch of time to go up there. It doesn't sound like it will happen until next month after the surgery. I'll have to find a place to have my physical therapy in that area as well. In any case, it's something to look forward to!
    Thanks for your email. We certainly are weathering the storms, aren't we?
    Sending love and good wishes that you will soon be spending days upon days in your happy place! :D
  13. The little Misses are so cute, both growing quickly. Waiting for this lousy weather to improve. I think when the clock did its spring ahead thing it went all the way to December and skipped spring! Have a great weekend.
    Beautiful tulips and hydrangea. Can't wait for flowers to blossom, although we don't have a lot in this area. One of these years I will get a little garden going on my balcony.
