It Was A Very Nice Week...Hope Yours Was Too!!

This past weekend at the cottage was stellar...

Calm water...plenty of sunshine...and of course storm clouds that just drift down to the US on the south side of the lake...

The Hollyhocks are incredible this time of year...I think they like the cooler temps...and the bees were plentiful...thank goodness for that!!!

I hope my Obedient Plants are blooming this weekend...the Hummingbirds and the Bees love them!!

The Canada Geese are planning their strategies over the Lake...

They gather in huge numbers...and practise their flight path!!!

We love when they fly right overhead....honking and flapping...

Nothing like it!!

Even the Sea-doo doesn't phase them...

The Monarchs are still loving the Milkweed plants...

We are lucky enough to be on their migration path down at the cottage...

I laid out 3 more driftwood hangers, and got them put together...

I have another basket collected for my boyfriend to drill for me...

Wish I could convince him to try drilling the beach glass we find...would love to make something with them!!

We eat pretty darn well when we are at the cottage too!!

This was chicken Ceasar salad...with added corn from the night before...

It was delicious!!!

And...breakfast on the sunporch is the best!!

Back here at home...the burgers were excellent...and more corn!!!

The Grasses are putting out their Fall plumes...

And the best little swimmer came for a sleepover...and swam ALL DAY LONG!!

                                              ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Hope you are all well...and enjoying these last few days of August...

Thinking of the people in Texas...such a horrible thing...

I follow a lovely blog from Texas...hope all is ok with her lovely family...

Sending good wishes to you Tanna...

We are off to the cottage in the morning...

Chili all made...ready for all the kids on Saturday...

Have a great long weekend everyone...

                          Stay safe...

                                 Cheers!  :o)

  1. Just this week the Canadian Geese have arrived here. Every evening they fly over our house squawking in their V formation! So fun.

That burger looks yummy. They will be on our menu some time this week!

  2. Thank you so much for your thoughts and well wishes, Linda. We are several hours north of all the tragic storms and flooding. Loading our son's truck, boat and trailer in the morning with supplies to send south. The amount of rain is just unreal. It will take years for things to get back to some semblance of "normal".

Oh, Linda... you make everything so beautiful... because you see the possibility of beauty and help to create it in every one of your spaces. Most inspiring. Miss V is just too sweet!! They are growing up way to fast. Soak it up. blessings ~ tanna

  6. goodness! look at those beautiful eyelashes she inherited! from nana no doubt.
it's hard to believe just 6 hours away is total chaos with thousands of homes under water and misplaced families and people who have lost everything.
the kindness being shown is a blessing.
and now... I have to eat something delicious. your pictures demand it! they make me hungry!
    have a lovely weekend.

  8. No nice to have a glimpse into your world Linda. That pink bloom (Hollyhock?) is exquisite! And swans on the lake too, just heavenly. Are they Canada geese, flying in formation? Can't wait to see those guys again :) On my own tonight, so thanks to your delicious pictures, think I'll have an egg with a side of berries, he he
